Teams and sharing
Teams and sharing
Teams let several people reuse the same patterns. Sharing by link lets you hand a single pattern
or report to anyone.
Sharing a pattern with a link
In My patterns, open a saved pattern and choose share. You get a link to the public viewer,
where anyone with the link can see the pattern, its shape and who created it. Turn sharing off and
the link stops working.
Sharing a search report
Every completed search produces a report that collects each coin's best match. Open the report and
share it as a link — useful when you want a colleague to see exactly what you saw, without giving
them your account.
Teams
A team is a shared space for patterns:
- Create a team and invite people by username.
- Share a pattern to a team — this makes a team-owned copy, so later edits to your personal
pattern do not change what the team sees.
- Roles decide what a member can do: viewer (use), editor (add and change patterns), co-owner
(also manage members and settings), owner (full control, including deletion).
- Transfer ownership from the members list if someone else should own the team.
When a search runs on a team pattern, every member of that team is told about it, so nobody misses
a result that concerns them.
Invites
Inviting someone sends them an email with a link to join. If they already have an account they
join directly; if not, they are asked to register first. Invites can be revoked while they are
pending.
Etiquette and limits
Team sharing is for people who actually work together — see the
Acceptable Use Policy. Do not use a team to publish patterns
publicly, and keep other people's confidential information out of pattern names and messages.
