Search notifications
Search notifications
A long scan can take minutes, and you do not have to sit and watch it.
What happens when a search finishes
- The result appears in the Results tab if you are on the page.
- A notification row is added to your notification centre — the bell in the header keeps the
unread count.
- If your browser has notification permission for DejaBars, you also get a desktop
notification while the page is open.
The notification centre
Open the bell to see recent items, then View all for the full list at /notifications. Search
entries record the search that produced them and take you to the result, so you can pick up where
you left off. Mark items as read individually, or all at once.
The same place carries product announcements from us — new features, billing changes, security
notes and maintenance windows.
Turning browser notifications on or off
Your browser decides whether a page may show desktop notifications. DejaBars never asks for
that permission on its own: you ask for it, and your browser then shows its own prompt. If you
decline, nothing breaks — the in-app notification centre keeps working either way.
To change your mind later, use your browser's site settings for https://dejabars.com and allow
notifications again.
Product news and announcements are only sent if you opt in to marketing email, and every one of
them carries a one-click unsubscribe link. Service email — email verification, password resets,
team invites and support replies — is always sent, because it is part of your account.
