{"slug":"teams-and-sharing","title":"Teams and sharing","content":"# Teams and sharing\n\nTeams let several people reuse the same patterns. Sharing by link lets you hand a single pattern\nor report to anyone.\n\n## Sharing a pattern with a link\n\nIn **My patterns**, open a saved pattern and choose share. You get a link to the public viewer,\nwhere anyone with the link can see the pattern, its shape and who created it. Turn sharing off and\nthe link stops working.\n\n## Sharing a search report\n\nEvery completed search produces a report that collects each coin's best match. Open the report and\nshare it as a link — useful when you want a colleague to see exactly what you saw, without giving\nthem your account.\n\n## Teams\n\nA team is a shared space for patterns:\n\n- **Create a team** and invite people by username.\n- **Share a pattern to a team** — this makes a team-owned copy, so later edits to your personal\n  pattern do not change what the team sees.\n- **Roles** decide what a member can do: viewer (use), editor (add and change patterns), co-owner\n  (also manage members and settings), owner (full control, including deletion).\n- **Transfer ownership** from the members list if someone else should own the team.\n\nWhen a search runs on a team pattern, every member of that team is told about it, so nobody misses\na result that concerns them.\n\n## Invites\n\nInviting someone sends them an email with a link to join. If they already have an account they\njoin directly; if not, they are asked to register first. Invites can be revoked while they are\npending.\n\n## Etiquette and limits\n\nTeam sharing is for people who actually work together — see the\n[Acceptable Use Policy](/docs/acceptable-use-policy). Do not use a team to publish patterns\npublicly, and keep other people's confidential information out of pattern names and messages.\n","category":"guide","version":"20a5eb41ff4c","updated_at":"2026-09-16T21:05:35.415663+02:00","is_published":true}
