This page\ntakes you from an empty canvas to your first report.\n\n## 1. Create an account\n\nOpen https://dejabars.com and sign up with a username, an email address and a password. You must be at\nleast 18; registration asks you to confirm it. A phone number is optional and only used\nto contact you about your account.\n\nEvery free account receives a weekly token allowance, so you can search straight away.\n\n## 2. Open the search page\n\nThe workspace lives at **/search**. You will see:\n\n- the **canvas** in the middle, where the pattern is drawn,\n- the **panel** at the bottom with tabs: Presets, My patterns, Recent, Settings and Results,\n- the **search bar** with the timeframe, the algorithm and the search button.\n\n## 3. Load a pattern\n\nThree ways, all from the bottom panel:\n\n1. **Presets** — ready-made shapes (head and shoulders, triangles, flags, and more). Click one and\n   it loads on the canvas, scaled to the drawing area.\n2. **My patterns** — patterns you saved, including those created automatically as you edit.\n3. **Recent** — the last patterns you opened on this device.\n\nYou can also generate a pattern from a description or by uploading a chart image with the AI\npattern generator.\n\n## 4. Choose what to scan\n\nIn the **Settings** tab:\n\n- **Timeframe** — from 1 minute to 1 week. Short timeframes cost more tokens.\n- **Algorithm** — start with **Geo**; it is the cheapest and the free tier includes it.\n- **Tolerance** — how close a match must be. Higher tolerance finds more, weaker matches.\n- **Period** — how far back to scan. 30 days is the free-tier limit.\n\n## 5. Run the search\n\nPress **Search**. You can watch progress on the canvas area. Searching hundreds of coins over a\nlong period takes a while, and during a busy period your search may wait in the queue.\n\nYou do not have to keep the page open — the search runs on our servers. Come back later to see it\nin your history, and see [Search notifications](/docs/search-notifications) if you want to be told\nwhen it is done.\n\n## 6. Open the results\n\nWhen matches arrive, the **Results** tab lists them with their distance and score. Select a coin\nto see the matching segments drawn on its price chart. From a result you can open the full report,\nwhich collects every coin's best match and can be shared with a link.\n\n## Where to go next\n\n- [Drawing a pattern](/docs/drawing-a-pattern) — the editor tools.\n- [Search modes: DTW and Geo](/docs/search-modes) — which algorithm to pick.\n- [Reading your results](/docs/reading-results) — what the numbers mean.\n- [Tokens, plans and allowances](/docs/tokens-and-plans) — what a search costs.\n","category":"guide","version":"cf6f8d43162c","updated_at":"2026-09-16T21:05:35.361111+02:00","is_published":true}
